It's Giving Tuesday

As many of you know today is Giving Tuesday. While we haven't yet completed the fundraiser for adding classes on to the school we feel confident that Mercy Christian Academy will be completed before opening day on January 6th 2020.

For Giving Tuesday all donations will go towards school curriculum, supplies and necessary school office needs (files, filing cabinet, stationary cabinet). We are estimating the total need to be at $6000. We hope to open Mercy Christian Academy with 144-160 students this year! That means we need lots of books, paper, pens and pencils!

The main reason we need to raise these funds all at once is because we do not have many of the school children sponsored. If each one was sponsored then their curriculum and supplies would be covered each year. So we are asking that if you are going to give on this Giving Tuesday you consider helping us provide a truly authentic Christian education to children in our small village in Kenya.

There are 3 ways to support this great need.

1. Pray for our students and the financial need to be met. The majority of our students come from a difficult background, please pray that God would draw them close to Him.

2. Sign up to sponsor a student! For $25 a month the student will get 2 meals and a snack each school day, a quality Christian education and will include all supplies and books needed. This will also help pay the teachers as obviously they are a vital piece of our school.

As always, thank you for your love and support during this beautiful journey. God has provided more than we ever imagined possible. At the end of 2018 we thought we were still 2+ years away from starting a school and now we have Pre-K through 6th grade! In spite of us and our mistakes He continues to grow and bless us and His ministry here!
