Exciting (to us) Mercy Ministries Update!

If you've been following us from the beginning you know we've had land issues in the past. At the very end 2018 we were able to purchase all of the property in blue. Yes, we made mistakes and built our home before we owned the land but that is so 2017 😂. In 2019 we were able to rent the field in red for one year and we were hoping for a long term lease because we need that to register Mercy Christian Academy. We tried at the beginning of this year and we were not able to work out a deal that was fair to both parties.

We talked to our other neighbor and a couple of months ago we were able to do a 10 year lease on 2 acres of the property in yellow with the plan to buy that property before the 10 years is up.

Today (4/21/2020) we were able to come to an agreement with the land owner of the red property to rent it for 3 more years with the plan to purchase it before the 3 years is up! Obviously for us purchasing sooner is better because while we have full use of both properties now, we can't build anything permanent on them until we own them.

This gives us over 5 acres to work with now. We are hoping to fence the yellow property, reinforce the fencing that we already have on the red property and make the football (soccer) field that is on the red property better. I'm also hoping for a huge playground by the end of this year (maybe the kids Christmas gift), but we are out of room on the property we own so we will need to purchase land in order to have room for it.

This is an old photo so it is missing the school and the pavilion, but it is the best way we can show you what's what! It is inexpensive to rent land here, but expensive for us to purchase. Please keep praying for God's will for us. 💜💜💜
