Budget Help
We really need some help with our ongoing budget. Over the last 6 months inflation has essentially doubled our food cost, just about everything we buy on a regular basis has gone up so much. We recently switched our kitchen stoves and all of our water heaters to propane gas which was so needed, but it has been more costly than we estimated, again easily doubling our normal cost. We have 3 babies drinking formula which costs about $150 a week. 4 weeks ago the transformer that provides our power blew out so we are using our generator full-time which is very costly, about $700 a week for fuel. All of these increases coupled with never ending needs has us needing more and more help with our funds to have enough money to keep things going. God has always provided for us in ways that we couldn't have imagined. While it is definitely stressful to be "gushing” so much money I know He has a plan to provide for our true needs.
We honestly do not have a lot of areas that we can cut back in. We actually need more employees, more buildings, and more funds. We have already reduced our meat budget by cutting meat from 4 days a week to 2 days a week, but we can’t cut much else when it comes to food, we currently serve over 4,500 plates of food per week. We do have hopes and plans to continue to expand our permaculture garden and we have discussed raising pigs, ducks, and chickens for meat with an expert, but all of that will cost more money upfront to set up structures and such.
Being a "start up" ministry just 6 years in means we still have so many needs and so many things to do. The longer we are here the more people come to know about us and the more people come to trust us and lately we have been inundated with extra needs. We are currently building a home for a family of 6, we have a widow waiting on us to be able to build her a new home, we are aware of newborn twins born to a young disabled mother,
Please pray for our needs to be met, for us to keep our eyes on Him, and to not let the seemingly endless daily and financial needs stress us out.
