MERCY MINISTRIES MINUTE NO. 9

Praises:

General
It is raining! We love rainy season because the temperatures drop and the gardens are beautiful!

Karson has been working hard on our new apartment! He's had some challenges because he's extending the roof with a different truss system, but he's got it figured out. We should be able to move into our apartment when we return from the states in November!

Church
A couple of weeks ago we were able to pass out about 80 pairs of shoes to children who came to church without shoes or shoes that needed to be replaced! We love being able to help care for others.

Many are hearing the Gospel each week, last week over 500 people attended service on the Lord's Day!

Home
Our kiddos are growing so much! Most of our babies have gained weight well and are caught up to where they should be.

School
During the second term of school our students preformed very well! We gave out a lot of prizes for 80% and above. We are proud of our students and their dedication to learning.

230 students hear the Gospel each school day! Along with this spiritual food they also get physically fed and cared for completely free to their family.

Prayer Points:

General
Please pray for Caitie, Karson, Dottie, and Emmanuel while we are away. More decisions fall directly on them while we are away. They are a great team, but days can be long here.

Please pray as we plan to share what God is doing here with lots of people and churches over the next 2 months.

We've had several deaths in our village lately, one of them being one of our kitchen staff members. We know many families are hurting and trying to make sense of things. Please pray that God might use this time to draw others close to Him.

Please pray for Joy and Violet as they leave for the states with us. They've not been away from home this long since we moved here. Both girls are excited to experience America, but are sad to be leaving home.

Church
Please pray for the men covering the church while we are away.

Home
We are working on making sure we have order in all areas. With our group being so large, order seems to slip away every now and then. Please pray that our children and staff work together to make things more orderly.

School
We are trying to get our school officially registered. There is lots of red tape and different stories. Please pray that the government can get on the same page and register Mercy Christian Academy.

We desperately need more Christian teachers. Finding qualified Christian teachers in the village is a challenge for many reasons.
