Mercy Christian Academy Update
Monday and Tuesday we worked hard taking pictures and updating the Mercy Christian Academy sponsorship page! I'm really excited about how good most of the pictures came out! We now have 152 students learning at our school and each one has a new picture!

I wanted to share the updated school page with everyone and ask you to pray for our students and pray about sponsoring a student. At MCA we try to only take kids who are in situations where they are not currently going to school due to a hardship that the family is facing. It is so important for us to get each child sponsored. Since our school is new there are still many things that we need and many things that we would like to have for our students. Currently we have 9 teachers and could easily add 2 more, but our current funding doesn't allow for that. We are also in the process of registering our school with the government of Kenya and trying to meet their standards. We know we have a few minor things to take care of and possibly 1 larger thing (building a food storage room) before we can be fully registered. Please don't worry, we are working with the government officials, they have been to our school a couple of times now and we have permission to operate.

For $25 a month or $300 a year you can sponsor a child at Mercy Christian Academy. $25 a month allows us to provide a quality Christian education, 2 meals and a snack each school day, all needed books and supplies, uniforms (donated by McKinney Christian Academy) and their repairs, pay our teachers a fair monthly salary and provide some minor medical care. Recently we were able to have a team of dentists (some Kenyan some from Germany) come and do a dental check-up on each student at MCA and each child living at MCH. Without sponsorships we will not be able to grow our school in any way without doing major fundraising. As always we are so thankful for your prayers and support here. Our small village has so many needs and while we aren't meeting them all we are headed in the right direction. A quality Christian education is SO needed here.
