Food Help Needed for MCA Students
Mercy Christian Academy is on a 7 week break and we were going to have our kids continue coming to school so they could eat and continue using their brains by playing learning games. However, certain parts of Kenya (not local to us) have seen a spike in Covid cases so the president has ordered for all schools to close. This isn't a huge deal since it won't cause us to be behind in school, but I know that food is an issue for many of the students that attend MCA. Each school day our students eat 2 meals and a snack, not only is this good for the students, but it also helps lift a burden from each home. Typically students are not served food at school, that responsibility falls on the parents.
In order to make sure our students keep eating during this break we'd like to prepare a bag of food for them each week. I think we can do this for about $10 a bag per household and we have about 50 households to cover. It would be great to be able to do this each week for the next 6 weeks while school is closed (starting this Tuesday). Can you help? $10 will provide a family with several meals and lighten the burden of feeding their children. If you are able to help us meet this $3,000 need you can click here and put MCA food bags in the notes.
Thank you for continuing to pour into this village. So many people are able to work, get help, receive food, and hear the true Gospel because of your support here! Every amount and every prayer makes a difference! Thank you again and again.
